Man down northern china
I've had a misshap and broken my collarbone. I've been admitted into hospital and my group will have to leave me behind. I'm in contact with my insurance and have started low priority cas'evac procedures. Operation possibly wed or thursday.
If any one has friends or they are themselves in urumqi I'd appreciate a visit

Just extremely peeved at missing out. A bloody dog scared sheep into the road. I hit one and landed hard breaking the bone into 3 bits. Without a guide i cant go anywhere

Real sorry to hear about your sheep hunting accident. If you could limp to the Kyrgyzstan boarder we could pick you up and give you a little more comfortable place for healing.
Will pray all goes well.
Mac

Cheers mac. No way of getting there now. No guide no travel by bike. Busses over the pass are rare as hens teeth. I'll try to get the bike shipped before I have to fly out. More concerned now about the bike.

Hi Nick
What's your timeline of going where? I think you're the other direction to us, but we could maybe take your bike to Kyrgyzstan?
Won't be for some weeks though.
Hope your op goes well!

I'm very sad for you Nick, I hope you find a good solution for your bike.
With your insurance, maybe you can get a flight ticket for a member of your family to visit ?

The agency that sorted the import are looking for ways to get it back home. I'll have a week or so here before I leave

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
