Send an e-mail to World Touring Network-Japan ( www.wtn-j.com).
Someone there might know.
But from what I heard, the family doesn't want random strangers showing up to visit. It was a very hard experience for them. Please respect their wishes if they don't want to meet you.
An English language forum in Japan is Gaijinriders

Teo,
I agree with Chris. I strongly assume that it was a very hard time for the family and all of us should respect their privacy.
If you want to contact the Japanese "gaijin" or foreigner community, this would be a great site to start:
Gaijinriders!
There are lots of people always willing to help.
Hope this helps a little.

Teo,
I saw on your Facebook that you have troubles because you do not have a valid Italian license nor an International Driving Permit (IDP).
I will skip the lecture on going to another country without the proper driving documents....
You have only two solutions:
Get an IDP from West Australia where you say you have a license
or wait until May when your valid Italian license arrives and have that sent to you.
So, send in your application or arrange to have your license sent to Japan, and wait out the 'Golden Week' holidays. Traffic is terrible now anyways!
For anyone coming to Japan, you need an IDP unless you have a driver's license issued in France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, or Taiwan. For those countries, the automobile club (JAF) can issue a license translation that is valid for driving in Japan.
A "temporary license" or other document to replace a lost license is not acceptable.
You can, of course, always ride without a license. But you are screwed if you get caught. Driving without a license is punishable by up to one year in jail (usually just a hefty fine).

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
