Russia Tourist Visa

Hi All . . . I plan to ship my motorcycle to Vladivostok from India and go towards Magadan and from there come back to Magnolia and again into Russia towards Moscow into Finland . . Russian visa is only for 30 days and looks difficult to do in that time frame . . . what happens if I don't exit on time OR what are the other options for the same . . .

Back in 2015, I paid extra for a business visa (from London), mainly as I needed triple entry, but also it didn't put me in a corner time-wise.

I used Real Russia, but it may be possible to do it yourself?

What is your nationality, and where will you be when applying for the visa?

Many people use a business visa, which at least gives you 3 months double entry.

I think you can do it in 30 days, but it won't be fun maybe, with 300km each day. And you may loose time in Vladivostok if the bike comes in later.
Do you want more time or also visit other countries?

It depends on your nationality.

But I would always advice to get a multi entry business visa.

So much easier to travel and if you have a problem ( maybe with the bike ) you can go out to get parts and back to fix it and lots more.

And the costs usually are not so much more expensive ( for most countries it is maybe 100-200 € more.

And it is possible to get it, even when you apply for the first time.
If a visa agency tells you it is not possible, than they don't have the right connections to get LOI from FMS

I don't know how the rules are for people from India. Have you tried visa agencies in India? Can they arrange a business visa for you or do you have to apply yourself?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
