Share a Guide across China, May 2016. KKH to Kyrgyzstan
Anyone else planning to cross China around May next year read on.
We're planning to cross from Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan around May 2016, organised with NAVO (a friend used them recently and gave us great feedback).
If anyone would like to join with us and share the cost of the guide please let me know.
Please also see my separate post for another possible group to cross Myanmar late Feb 2016.
Dean.

Hi Dean,
My partner and I are Kiwis living in Darwin and about to ship out to KL in a couple of weeks.
We'll be riding a couple of CT110s Through Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, then back through into Myanmar etc. We've just received our Pakistan Visas, I don't have them on me but I think they expire in mid May.
It sounds like we are planning a similar route around a similar time. If it looks like we'll be in the same place around the same time we would definitely be keen to find some folks to share costs with. Feel free to drop us a PM.
Tig & Celia

Hello!
We are also in contact with NAVO to go from Khunjerab Pass (Pakistan) to Torugart (Kyrgystan) for may 2016. They give us the crazy price of 3000 euros for one car and 5 people (we are a family with 3 children and have a truck : www.wawatai.fr )
We are very interested to share the price of the guide across China with somebody.
The date of the crossing which Navo gave us is the 9th of May. It takes 5 days.
By the way, have you some good info about having the pakistanis visa? For us, it's a bit complicated, because they ask us to provide a flight ticket...

visa infos pakistan.
Hi as long as we know from passed trips since 2012 pakistan give a visa only at the embassy of your resident country and they ask within many other paper also a fligth reservation...and some times also a LOI letter of invitation... we use the relatives of Sameena to get it and for the ticket was enough a reservation trough any agency after the visa we cancelled it and no problem at the border....we tied to get a pak visa in Ankara, Amman, Cairo Adis Ababa with no succes after sending back the passport to Italy we got it in 10 days without any assle, but we spent almost a 30 days in India without our passport and this is not nice specially because you should send the pass 2 times with inetrnational courrier and not all accept to send passoport...
For any other infos send a private mail...we are preparing our trip to pakistan from india

another quote for the crossing.
Hi All,
I've just made an enquiry with Kasjgar Newland on the advice of some guys coming the other way.
They came back to me same day with a quote of US$2000 for one bike, 2 passengers.
This is much better than NAVO (who were about US3000 for the same thing).
I've asked them about a group discount, will post their reply here when I get it.
In the meantime, if anyone is interested please let me know, I can email their quote.
cheers,
Dean.

quote update
ok so Kashgar have come back to me with a price of $3400 for two vehicles.
1 bike with 2 people
1 4x4 with 5 people
This includes hotel bookings, if we want to find our own rooms, the price is $1500/vehicle.
With more people this will be cheaper, down to a minimum of about $1000/vehicle for 6 vehicles or more (i need to double check this)
Anyone want anything further please let me know,
Dean.

Transit Pakistan - Kyrgyzstan
Hey there Dean,
my partner and I would be interested in joining you. We are a couple travelling on 1 motorbike. When exactly are you planning to do the trip?
We are currently in Bangkok and want to travel through Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and India. Will be in Pakistan around end of May, beginning of June. Would that fit with your plans?
Best,
Kerstin & Stefan
