Sharing a container Vladivostok to Seattle/Vancouver

Hi everyone,
we are shipping two bikes with an oversea container from Vladivostok to Seattle/Vancouver (destination can be agreed on). Plan is to start the shipping end of July. As we can store the bikes in Vladivostok for 60$ per bike and month we can wait until October or November to start. The price for the container is 6000$, customs clearance is 250$ per bike.
Is there anyone planning a similar shipment in this timeframe who likes to share the costs with us?

Greetings
Claus

That could suit me too.
We are leaving UK next week and will be St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazakh, Ulaan Baatur and Vladi as our route.
I do not know how long it will take but I think July/August is fine.
We can share a container to Vancouver as I can loiter in Canada without affecting my 90 days in USA. Once I arrive in US I have 90 days to get out from NYC, Buffalo or NJ so a week waiting in Vancouver is fine. A week in Seattle is bad.
I am using Yuri at Links.com in Vlad and he can get my bike on a container to Vancouver each month.
However your idea may be even better.
There are a bunch of people you might want to know about on HU in the Travelers seeking Travelers section and there is a spreadsheet of the 14 travelers. Find Mongolia 2014 Find post 57 from Noel di Pietro and you will see the link.
I bet several will want to head East like me.

Hi Nigel,
We are also using Yuri. He is offering us a container for 6000. so if we can pack it ab bit it would be cheaper. We are in UB end of June and heading to Magadan. Vancouver is also fine for us.

Hi Nigel,
Where are you at the moment? We are starting in two week with the plane to Ulaanbaatar. The bikes are already there. Did you also see the post about the Fesco transport option?

Greetings
Claus

Claus and all,
We are in Chita and should be in Vlad by July 6th - 10th. Going to see Yuri and hopefully we can consolidate to Vancouver. No rush for us so we can fit in. Nigel

We abandoned our bike with a dead gearbox near Scovorodino and took the train. The bike will remain in Russia.
We are heading for USA and continue our journey RTW
Good luck everyone,
Nigel and Sharyn

Hi,

We are currently in Vlad waiting for the DBS ferry next Wednesday. The original plan was to be on last week's ferry but we missed the two-day-in-advance Customs requirement. So, the plans changed and our three bikes will now be heading to Vancouver. Yuri and Sveltlana were great to work with. He is thinking there will be a container leaving in about two weeks and another one or two in September.

Cheers,
Paul
