Suspension repair in Georgia
Hi all
Sorry still not sure whether people consider Georgia Europe or Asia, so just in case, posting here too....
Anyone know where I can get my leaking YSS suspension repaired in Georgia? We are in Batumi at the moment...
Thanks!

For the sake of completeness ...
The generally accepted border of Asia and Europe in that region is the watershed of the Greater Caucasus range. Accordingly about 99% of Georgia is in Asia, and just a tiny part near the Russian border crossing at Kazbegi-Lars is in Europe.
The United Nations statistics division records transcontinental states as being on the continent where they have the majority of their population.
i.e. The UN position is that Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan are Asian. Russia is European.
Politically however, all states that have some territory both in Europe and Asia, seem to prefer association with Europe rather than Asia. Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Israel etc, all play football in UEFA, rather than the Asia confederation. They are all allowed to enter Eurovision song contest. Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan are all members of the Council of Europe, although it is specifically noted that they are geographically Asian. Kazakhstan is also allowed to join the Council of Europe if it chooses.

Thank you for the extensive explanation. I already had some sort of notion along those lines. And that's exactly why I wasn't sure where to post this. Will those people able to help with issues in Georgia go on the Northern Asia or the Europe regional forum?

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
