Question USA to Mongolia Shipping Help

Hello HU,

I have chosen the bike I want to bring here to Mongolia. It is in New York, USA. Please help me with suggested methods and expected rates to get it here. I expect that if I start the process now, I can have it here ready to ride by Spring.

Thank you in advance for any assistance, advice, and or experiences you can offer.

Best from Ulaanbaatar,

Peter

Thanks again Joe. I have to wait until March or April to ride anyway, and I have a pretty good idea that by sea is much cheaper. I have been quoted $800. I would love to fly it here, but I guess that would be at least double that. The bike is only worth about $2800.

AG in UB

Hello Ben,

Happy New Year! I will call Amgaa from the Yamaha shop today and ask him to let me know when he'll be able to show you his inventory. The Yamaha Motors shop is still very much brand new, so you'll likely have to go by appointment. I'm excited to have another potential riding buddy come Spring! My brand new AG200 is just sitting collecting dust. Anyway, my number in UB is 94099350. Amgaa, the manager of Yamaha Motors can be reached at 93130404. Please tell him Peter recommended him. I am happy with the buying experience I've had there. I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Pete

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
