Vladivostok - Europe - We like to have infos

Dear travellers

has somebody of you informations about travelling with motorbikes from Vladivostok to europe?

We have to be in Germany in the beginning of July 2007, but we don't want to fly home from New Zealand.

But we think, the time is a little bit short to do the whole trip, so we thiunk about flying our bikes to russia, a little bit closer to europe and then drive home.

Greetings from Lahore in Pakistan

Hi there!

I was driving in 2004 from switzerland to vladivostok, and it was just great. If you have to be in germany in july, you should start about two months before in vladivostok. But in may the weather is afaik quite unpredictable... Feel free to contact me on my e-mail adress (in german :-)!

Cheers

Marco

Hi Ralf and Eva,

Last summer I rode from Vladivostok to Germany. I spent 28 days in Russia, 21 of them actually riding, covering just over 6900 miles. I've posted a day by day journal of the Russian portion of the trip on my website www.rtwrider.net and you might find some useful information there.

Hope this helps.

Mike

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
