The car, a 2010 Nissan Hardbody NP300, 2.5 diesel, small turbo, with just over 100 000km on the clock:
A strong, reliable and fun car. I drove it from Cape Town, South Africa, through Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Uganda. It's still purring like a kitten and takes off on the highway. The car have South African plates and it would be best to sell it to some adventures folks who planning on doing an overland trip down to South Africa.
- Two of the tires (Firestone Radial ATX) are new from Cape Town and have about 15000km on them.
- Heavy duty shocks all around (Monroe)
- New control arms at 85000km
- Power steering
- Pioneer stereo with tuner/aux/usb/cd/ipod
- New speakers that sounds amazing (absolute must for driving across Africa!)
- Jack (not the high lift kind and little messed up. But it still works!)
- Spare tire
- The A/C does not work (it needs a new compressor)
I'm ending my journey in either Uganda or Kenya because of lack of funds, not because I want to! I'm from Norway and heading back there as soon as I can figure out what to do with this car.
The Camper, made by Jurgens in South Africa.
The car is equipped with a camping unit that makes life on the road a dream. A doublebed, two burners, and plenty of storage space. However, it's fairly well used. Think 'your favorite pair of pants'. A little shabby, but plenty of character! The electrical system in the camping unit isn't in fully working condition (but easy to fix if you know a tiny bit about electrics, I don't.) I kitted it out before I left SA and it's ready to go. Plenty of space for two people.
- Two jerry cans for long drives into nowhere
- 5kg gas cylinder for cooking
- Two burners for cooking and a sink
- Double fold-out bed
- Pop-up roof
- Rain covers
- Tool box
- Solar panel @ 80w to power a brand new battery in the back.
- Inverter for charging your stuff
Asking $13 000
