Just a side question.... How are you going to fly back and not get stopped at the airport with the car details stamped in your passport as you enter Mali???

I managed it before, but needed to have an official letter from the local Round Table (car given to charity)..the airport guys were not happy at the time, but accepted it. I see you have asked about selling it locally...you will get no end of offers just parked by the side of the road or in a Hotel/Guesthouse carpark..We had offers with the cash being flashed there and then four times what the car cost us. We opted to give the car to the Round table for charity which really does help!! (Yep the Bamako rally too..Sunny is a nice guy) Others sold their car and Sunny still gave them a letter to exit Mali...Very nice guy.

Cheers Kev

Interesting info. Thanks a lot.

The car has not sold.
I think I will just turn up and hope for a sale in the two days we are there.

Was just seeing if any interest on here for peace of mind rather than the risk of not being able to sell it once we arrive.

Regarding passport issues I think this is sorted regarding the rally having an arrangement for this.

I'll get some pics up as the truck is off for a trial run to Wales tommorow before the rally

Thanks all

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
