Blue Lightning is our baby and we are very sad to see her go. It is truly an epic vehicle. Unfortunately, our trip has been cut short a bit prematurely, so she's on the market. We'll only sell her to really cool people.
We're New Zealanders and bought the car in South Africa because with the South African registration, you do not need a carnet de passage for most of the Southern African countries. If you are a foreigner interested in buying an overlanding vehicle, we can help you through the process (let you know the admin required) to put the car in your name.
We're currently in Namibia and will be in Pretoria by 8 June. We can arrange viewings of the bakkie from that time. Please contact us by email at
anthea.markstein@gmail.com and
thomas.charteris@gmail.com. Once we are in South Africa, we will provide a South African mobile number.
