Toyota Hilux Surf 3.0 4x4 tow wagon

Toying with the idea of selling this so I can upgrade to something a bit newer

3.0ltr 2nd Gen Toyota Hilux Surf turbo diesel SSR-G
A 1993 (L reg) vehicle that was imported in 2004

All the original import documents, owners manuals and all mot certificates (and HPI report)
4 owners since import
Taxed until end Feb 2014 MOT until Sept 8th 2014
Current mileage showing 215,000km although thats due to a speedo change and actual misle is around the 200,000 mark
For its age it in very good condition and a very solid vehicle with many more years left in it yet.
Recaro interior with genuine carpet mats in good condition
16" Gen 3 Hilux alloys sprayed satin black with Cooper Discoverer STT 265 75 16 with lots of tread left (Including the spare which is new)
Heavy duty rear springs and OME rear dampers
Raised on torsion bars slightly at the front
WARN freewheeling hubs
Twin battery setup with matching batteries that dont look that old.
All electrics work as they should including the air conditioning, tow socket, cruise control etc
CD player and uprated speakers
TOAD alarm and central locking/immobiliser (2 remotes)
Cylinder head replaced 3 years ago with a good quality 2.8 head from a later model not the cheapest that could be found on ebay !

In the past few years it has had the following replaced :
Rear brake shoes
Cylinder head and cambelt (3 years / 30,000 miles ago)
Starter motor repair kit
Inner and outer CV boots

This year it has had :
Engine oil and filter replaced
Replaced fuel filter
Brake fluid changed
Replacement front and rear diff oils along with transfer box oil
All grease nipples greased
A new radiator and a full coolant change with genuine Toyota coolant
Refurbished front calipers and new pads
Replacement front brake hoses
Replacement rear brake pipes
Fitted a automatic gearbox temperature gauge and replaced the gearbox fluid
Replaced both front anti roll bar bushes
Replaced electric aerial mast
Replaced rocker cover gasket
So as you can see its been well looked after in the years its been in the country and this shows in both its condition and reliability.

There is only one fault with it and that is the tailgate window will not always go down on its own when operated from in the cabin however this has not really been an issue for me as ive only ever opended it on the key when im at the boot so just give it a slight helping hand. It only happens as one of the small plastic wheels on the runner has gone missing.

It will also come with a spare pair of front brake calipers that will need a rebuild
A pair of front hubs with half shafts
Some interior trims including the lower tailgate carpet if the chequer plate is not to the new owners taste.

Im looking for £2200 ono and in no rush to sell

A few pictures here and plenty more available

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
