UK registered 1994 3 litre Toyota Surf ssr-x in cape town as of end of Feb ready for the drive back to blighty.
Hi all, we're trying to work out what to do with our trusty beast when we arrive in Cape Town.
Ideally we'd like to sell it to some budding UK overlanders so they can drive her back to the UK (easy peasy for Carnets, no import tax etc. etc.) so it'll make your life easier - you won't even need to ship the car!
It'll have around 220,000 km on the clock, its running smoothly and fast, not gobbling too much fuel and we've had not problems bigger than a spot of welding on the exhaust (done for free by a kind local mechanic). We've also just serviced her and change the oils and filters etc. every 5000-7000km.
It comes with:
Custom storage in the back, holding 5 jerry cans and all the spares + extra space
2" Upgraded rear springs
6 x General Grabbers (all-terrains) Tyres
Highlift jack
All the kit that makes surf a great expedition vehicle (2x batteries etc.)
Raised diff breathers.
There is not a roof rack, but in my opinion it is better without. A roof rack reduces fuel economy, raises the centre of gravity, reduces security and more over, without one you don't look like and overlander and therefore don't get any hassle at all.
Comes with the collection of our equipment if needed (tent, petrol stove, spares, jerry cans etc.)
Drop us a line at

or find us at
www.wix.com/uktosa/uktsa for a price. We're open to negotiation, and are used to a haggle. In theory we could even loan the car out for free on a "break and buy" agreement.
Thanks, Ed and Humph
