camera +Super cheap digital storage!
I have read some posts re bringing laptops, cd burners etc. seems like a pain, and expensive if they get ripped.
Look into panasonic digital cameras they make some that load photos into a super disc, which holds 120MB of storage. imation has quit making these drives but you can find them on ebay for $30-40, disc are about $8 US, so thats about $65 per gig and you can reuse them. you could mail them home or bring a super drive with you with install CD drivers, find a willing internet cafe to let you install your drive then upload. people will be more willing to let you install from a driver cd then a disc due to virus. lot less hassle then bring a computer. I do not own a panasonic (nikon 990) . Remember do not save photos on disc in jpeg! repeated opening and saving will cause loss of image quality. this is not a problem if the media is a CD as it wont rewrite. save in tiff, they are big files however.
