Is my SD card reader ruined?
Hi all
Not sure if this is the right forum for this ?, but it happened when I was working with photos so maybe it's got a bit of a connection.
I have a USB-based SD card reader. Until a few days ago, it would work normally when I put SD cards into it and then plugged them into the computer. Then I reformatted 1 of the SD cards, using the EXFAT file allocation table as I wanted to get a file over 4GB in size onto it. Ever since then, when I put it into the computer with any SD card in, it shows up on the screen as drive F but tells me 'please insert a disk into drive F'.
To check, I borrowed another card reader and when I put this into the computer without any SD card in, it shows up on the screen as drive F and says 'please insert a disk into drive F', but then when I put any card in it opens up normally.
Does this mean my own card reader is stuffed, or does it need a reformat of its own?
Thanks
Mark
