Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dakar Motos (Javier)
If you have any bike problems in Buenos Aires contact Javier. He is the owner of Dakar Motos. Javier is also well known in the HUBB (javkap). Javier and his wife Sandra speak excellent English.
I could repair my bike in the shop and use the equipement. Javier helped me when I was stuck.
Highly recomended!
Thanks Javier and Sandra!

Absolutely !
Dakar Motos is the perfect place to get a bike sorted out, especially if you've been busy throwing it at the scenery.
My F650 got the full treatment :-
- valves (screwed up by BMW Chile!!)
- suspension bushes & bearings
- new clutch
- water pump shaft & seals
- steering head bearings
- things welded back on
- headlight protector
- filters, oil, coolant
------------------
Last seen in S.America, missing presumed fed.

For your information:
Dakar Motos have now definitely moved to a new place! It's bigger, better, and, (you won't believe it) even more guest-friendly!!
They have now a place where you can sleep, use the toilet, have an asado and work on your bike, all for a fair price. Thanks a lot to Javier and Sandra for thinking on us MC travellers when you moved to the new site!
Please have a look at their Website for additional information: http://www.dakarmotos.com

Looks like we're all in agreement about Dakar Motos! I've been on the road for a year and a half now and have yet to find a better shop. When I was in Buenos Aires I developed a lung infection. Sandra gave me her cell # and told me to call any time, day or night. KH (BCK_973) took me to a doctor and translated for me. As far as maintenance goes, if Javier isn't sure about something, he'll quietly consult the appropriate shop manual or check-out the internet to be sure he's doing the right thing. In the end, I miss Dakar Motos and the people there more than I miss home! Thanks to all of you there at "the shop."

highly recommended
Javier stayed in the shop till late at night fixing a stripped engine bolt on my bike, even when his son was really sick and needed him at home. Thanks again, JavKap! Sandra helped with the arrangements to ship my bike and complications with my temporary import papers. Wonderful people.
Cheers,
Marcus

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
