great mechanic in Cajamarca, Peru
Was looking for someone to work on our bikes. Could'nt find nothing on the hubb or advrider.

Then providence worked her magic like always and I ended up finding a great mechanic.

They were super nice, even took us to the mall in their car so we could pick up some stuff we needed. Would not take any money. We could only get them to accept an invitation for dinner.

The shop is called Picho Motors. It's a Yamaha dealer. Its under construction at the moment. The guy had a few bigger KTM in his shop. I've seen a few mechanic work and you can tell who works well and who doesn't. This guy seemed to work well, he was meticulous and know his stuff.

The place is pretty easy to find once you found San Martin.

His phone is 967529 (I had to dial 17 before when calling from a locutor, phone booth)

Also I found a rear tire, Shinko 705, for my riding partner who's on a BMW1200GS A at Barbacci motors. Had it shipped in cajamarca from Lima. Shipping cost, 10 soles

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
