Nepal, Kathmandu, Kamal Pokhari, KMSC
I had a bunch of work done with these guys when I got to Kathmandu from Tibet. They took care of all of my problems easily and professionally. In addition to the standard stuff I usually have a list of more annoying or complicated issues that I'll save for really good mechanics when I find them. They took care of that list too.
I left my bike with them for over a year, through an earthquake.
When I came back with parts I was again very impressed with how they handled both the jobs they were familiar with and the jobs they needed to research in order to complete.
These aren't good mechanics, they're great mechanics. If you're a few countries away, get in touch with them to sort out timing and parts. That way you can get as much accomplished as possible. They'll run circles around 99% of mechanics when it comes to care and knowledge.
I wish I could take them with me!
