All Roads lead to the moon Argentina to Alaska & Beyond

So tomorrow we leave a very Cold and dark Scotland for South America, after a few days in Buenos Aires we will hopefully start South to Ushuaia via the Viedima meeting before heading to Anchorage via various places then back South to tour the US. I'll be updating when I can, a trip I've been planning and dreaming about for a long time!

I know, forecast for the end of the week isn't great but it sure beats a cold Scotland (and work) Got your Kindle, will I leave it at Dakar or see you at Viedima?

So after a week spent chilling and acclimatising at Dakar Motos nd taking in the sights of Buenos Aires we are finally on the road. A short hop to Azul first to stay with “pollo” at the famous La Posta. This haven for travellers is indeed worth a visit, we were glad to be in the company of Karl, Marriano and his wife Natalia from Buenos Aires. Beer was taken, bikes were talked an we were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the local classic bike meeting, being a classic bike nut myself this was perfect. The weather up until today has been scorchio, last night and this morning its a bit cooler with heavy rain. Tomorrow we set off for the Hubb meeting at Viedma. Already we’ve settled in to the genuine warmth of the locals and the long straight and I have to say sometimes boring roads, we are in Sierra de la Ventana just now, a nice town with a great campsite “Camping Pariaso” just off the min street, the owner is very friendly and helpful and the toilets clean

La Posta

Nice bikes and weather

Making tea! ( after)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
