Yes ~ we heard it all before, over and over again from people that just don't know better, Shanghai has no riding regions, well ~ approx. just 2.5 hours away is the greater MOGANSHAN region with excellent "onroad" and "offroad"riding, four seasons of great riding compared to other China regions and the bamboo forest stays green all year round....

Jingle Bells ~ Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way ~ dashing through the Anji (Zhejiang) bamboo forests, on high performance bikes during a long December weekend, brilliant cold frosty weather and solid serious fun...

2017 Santa Ride location over in Anji County in the heart of Zhejiang province's bamboo and white tea plantations around the Fushi Reservoir....

During the Santa Ride 2017 we had a fantastic and awesome final day out with Fran Rico Rodriguez (Hard Enduro Racer / HIXPANIA http://www.hixpania.es Organiser) at the Enduro Cross Track (Anji)....

KTM300EXC (TPI) as legal fully China import bike (registered / plated), would make a very serious woods bike and bamboo trail runner as a custom set up 2-stroke "Smoker" was used at the Enduro Cross training grounds (Moganshan & Anji 2017 Santa Ride)...

Our JIALING JH600 Sidecar was sold (December 2017), another one of the very enjoyable and reliable TBR China bikes bites the dust, gone but not forgotten as we had solid fun with the trusty sidecar around various Mainland China regions....

As I am a "Coffee Snob", great pitstop for best tasting hot coffee & chocolate at Hillside Village (Moganshan Mountains)...

2017 February ~ Denver (Colorado / USA) and a side trip to famous Pikes Peak with two limited edition TLD Jeremy McGrath Bell MotoFlex-9 (2016/2017) helmets in the car... Awesome view and a stopover at the Pikes Peak Hillclimb starting line...







Fast forward to 17th. September 2017, back in the USA and heading to Glen Helen Raceway (California) with mates, getting a green Jeremy McGrath spare helmet visor autographed for the collection by the man himself during the trophy truck race series: http://www.lucasoiloffroad.com ~ spot on, got a few more signatures that day for the ever growing collection...





Further onwards to 2018, wearing the Bell helmets during the last few Moganshan bamboo rides (Nov.2017--Jan.2018), they are super comfortable and work great with our preferred Oakley Airbrake Goggles (Prizm Lenses) ~ highly recommend the helmets and googles but everyone has some personal preferences...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
