?BEST DAY of CURVES EVER?
Today’s 347 km may have been the most epic entire day of curvy mountain riding EVER. It included what is though to be the most scenic road in Brazil the Rodovia da Graciosa as well as the state park of Petar.

Here you head off road on a very firm dirt road on the SP 165 thru Petar Park to Iporanga in 41 km and then on sketchy pot holed pavement to Eldorado in another 71 km.

40 km of beach
Claudinei and Fatima’s home at the beach is ours for the rest of the week as they must return to Sao Paulo to work. They left us the apartment, a fridge and freezer full of food and , and their pedal bikes too. Today we went for a ride and saw the firemen practicing helicopter recues. Lucky for us there is an oasis or Kiosko every 500 meters for some shade and a cold drink.

Claudinei invited his work friend Abdul to join us for a tour of downtown Sao Paulo. He is a great guy, but he also speaks perfect English and so helped us with understanding Portuguese.

We needed to get a new computer cord so we braved the packed electronics district in the week before Christmas. I think you can buy just about anything here.

Of course Dan had to see the Brazilian stock exchange.

We saw some of the main sites including the cathedral, the Theater, a 450-year-old college, and the famous 25 of March shopping street.

This plaque in front of the Cathedral marks the original city center.

They have these great pedestrian signs here which are different depending on which historic building they are near. This is for the Theater.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
