New Trip: New Blog
Hey,
Sorry I haven't posted for a while, real life sort of ambushed me.
The blog for my forthcoming trip is up at
Birdy85 | Joel Burdall | Travel Blog
So far it only documents the prep and gives a bit of backstory, as I don't leave until the morning. It also features the unedited version of the article I wrote for TWO, which may interest some. I didn't want to stick that anywhere while that issue was in circulation, but the new issue came out this week.
Hope you enjoy it.
Birdy

Better luck this time Birdy I am sure it will be much better with Hannah along with you. I look forward to reading your blog and getting more inspiration to do something similar.

I'll predict that some things will be better, some things maybe not. Only one thing's for sure, it will be different. Me? I think I prefer solo touring, with the missus flying out to meet me every now and then. But each to his (or her) own. Will you be writing it up for TWO again?
PS Just read your first instalment "Read the full entry". I enjoy your writing style, I'm guessing that you in turn enjoyed "These are the things..."
On a slightly less positive note, we have a split crank case gasket, and are waiting for one to come by special delivery today. If it doesn’t come, I am not entirely sure what the solution is.
Start as you mean to go on - bodge.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
