Now we are headed to So America
This summer we headed north on 2 2005 KLR's from Sheridan Wyoming and ended up at the end of many roads, meeting many wonderful people and seeing fantastic countrysides. We traveled to the end of the road in Northwest Territories (Inuvik with a flight to Tuk), Alaska (Prudhoe Bay, McCarthy, Valdez, Homer, Anchor Point, Chicken,). We had a great time, learned lots and are now ready to go south again. Hey, it is winter in Wyoming!
We have ridden Central America two other times, once as far as El Salvador and the other time to Panama. We had time limits then but now we have retired and do not have any. So it is time to go south as far as we can.
Our plan is to leave the pickup in Long Beach, California and ride down the Baja, ferry across to Mexico's mainland and continue south. Our plan at this time is to fly the bikes from Panama to Columbia.
Are there any other travelers headed in the same direction about the same time? We are leaving California mid January, we may be leaving a little late but the holidays threw us off. If the weather gets too cold for us in the Andes we may have to change plans but that is part of the adventure. We always enjoy meeting up with other adventurists along the way.
