Round the world on a KLR that wheelies!!!
Ready set go,
actually it took a little longer, 3 years in the making, so lets go back to how it all started
I was diagnosed with a very painful immune disease, and work told me sorry not sorry...
So as it usually turns out for us who like riding and travelling, I set off on this long journey after getting the bug from fellow KLR Adv rider RIP Benjava and some other crazies like nixels and Larry boy
Here is a way to help and raise awareness for this thing I have that sucks
http://www.gofundme.com/renaudcharrin
Looking to raise awareness about this terrible immune systems disease that wrecked my life for three years when all the doctors misdiagnosed me with appendix burst, colon cancer, and all the other stuff they threw at me, colonoscopy and biopsy, ER stays etc...10 k bill in result of last hospital visit, insane
all proceeds will be sent here:

I also want to thank people helping me out, and industry leaders reaching out

Round the world on a KLR that wheelies!!!
But let's go back to how it all started
France, my dad is an avid motorcycle rider, put me on the back of his bike when i was a kid and we rode together around Paris for years. Felt like I had the coolest dad, and I did.
I watched him take off numerous time on his yamaha super tenere, he introduced me to dakar rally, and put me on a dirtbike when i was a little kid, so thanks dad!
Got the tech bug and hardware bug from ya, and the best bug, the moto bug.
He then went on to ride to africa and rode with his friends through Maroc.
best pics ive ever seen.
He then got tboned in paris, place de la concorde by a red light runner, and that was the end of his motorcycle career, but mine had just started
fast forward to my learner permit and the first bike, wait my first bike was a ducati 900 monster and I had NO PERMIT....lmao pops was furious i did that

Ran a few motorcycle shops in san francisco, started my own rental and touring company in partner with eagle rider, and started to hangout with the riffraff at BARF and ADVRIDER.
Met My best bud BenJava Ben on his way back from alaska and hired him as a mechanic, he taught me to this day everything i know, how to change a motorcycle tire in the hot desert sun of deathvalley, what to pack and what to think i need, not what i want.
We ride to the top of the whit mountain and 14k+ft, ADV trips and other fun times will be remmebered forever, thanks for introducing me to this beautiful world man
true adv style, RIP Benjava, Ben passed away on a motorcycle accident at the top of hwy 108, a ride we always did together after the snow melt

Round the world on a KLR that wheelies!!!
This is how the idea of the trip came to life, always wanted to do it, thought I needed more time and more finances, and was thinking i was gonna be 50 by the time i could go and do this, then something happened.
My business partner for route 66 motos tells me he just got a brand new BMW GS adventure to go on his RTW and wants ME to go with him!!! Yeeeehaw! LEt’s go.
Meet Steffek, he was one of our first clients at route66motos, and we partnered with EagleRider to get him and his bud from Poland on two harleys to go travel the US.
Steffek flew from Poland with a gift to me, an MC vest from his local club in Poland, and was the nicest guy i have ever seen, we clicked right away and after meeting him at eaglerider, picked up the bike, helped with hotel accomodations and route, we gave him a tour of san francisco, the local attractions and went down to dudley perkins harley davidson, the oldest dealership in the world.
A great friendship was started.
Steffek got his bike, now it's time to go find mine, using my motorcycle industry network, I started to think about what i wanted, but wait man, “all you need is a KLR man”
For those in the know, that was Ben;s to go phrase, avid Klr rider, and the first guy to let me ride one, I also fell in love with it.
SO there i go to dealer auctions and find a perfect bike,
meet the KLR that wheelies.

Round the world on a KLR that wheelies!!!
So now comes time for serious prep
Prep of my bike and off road training
Steffek sends me awesome pics of the backcountry and forest in poland, and I go ride around texas
Go to the harvest classic in luckenbach texas, and they have a trials competition
Ohhhhh guess what, i can do that on a loaded up klr, hop on the course and mess around, while everyone looks at me like i'm a crazy maniac
No biggie, im used to be a bit off.
And lovvvvve riding offroad, the KLR is great for that
Start to eat better and right and get back to better shape
Eats salads and that's better diet for ibs anyways
Prep of the bike for steffek and off road training

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
