Balkans Garage Recommendations

Hi folks, I'm wondering if you could recommend a good garage around the Balkans area, preferably Croatia, where I could book my bike in for a service? I'm a few weeks into a 3 month tour and would like to give my bike a nice big mechanical hug for getting me and my girlfriend along with quite a lot of baggage all the way from Edinburgh to there. Thanks for reading!

In order for others to help you, could you be a bit more precise as to which town you would prefer the dealership to be and the make of your motorcycle?

I can recommend this bike dealer in Karlovac. Stuck some brake pads in my WR last year. Very friendly and cheap, plus know what they are doing.

Hi Bertrand, the bike is a 2009 honda Transalp XL700VA. As to which town I would prefer - I do not have an itinerary so I cannot really be more precise.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
