Bike Rental in Georgia/Armenia/Azerbaijan

I am contemplating a trip to Georgia/Armenia/Azerbaijan for about 2 weeks (with pillion) over the summer and don't have the time to get there overland so I would like to look into flying out there and renting a bike. Ideally looking to rent BMW 1200/1250 GS or GS Adventure. Finding it difficult to get any information on web searches for bike hire in those countries. Does anyone have any information about whether it is possible to rent bikes over there?

Thanks

Motorcycle Rent In Georgia: Booking

Haven't used them myself, but seem to be a good company. Not sure about taking the bike across the borders.

I'm not sure why you're having difficulty finding "any information" about bike rental; I found several companies in each of Georgia and Armenia, although I didn't go to Azerbaijan. I ended up with Mototravel Georgia and Dreamriders Armenia, and had good experiences with each. Notable: Armenian rentals were much cheaper. I have some doubts you'll find a 1200GS, but maybe. Definitely make your arrangements, including deposits on specific bikes for specific dates, long in advance.

I did not find any way to take rented bikes across borders, which does make perfect sense. There are guided motorbike tours which take in Georgia and Armenia (and perhaps Azerbaijan), if that's something you'd be interested in.

Great countries for riding, with main roads in pretty good condition, secondary roads generally quite fun, and remote roads thoroughly challenging. Lots of history (including some very recent), lots of spectacular scenery. Main safety concern: large, aggressive, fiercely protective dogs in the mountains. Do not act threateningly toward any sheep!

Hope that's helpful.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
