Cambodia tracks / waypoints??
Hi,
Me and a group of friends will soon be riding around Cambodia. Although we will take a local guide / mechanice with us, we'd prefer to lead the ride ourselves from GPS.
If anyone has any saved tracks or waypoints they wouldn't mind sharing with us, or any suggestions of good trails in around Cambodia, these would be very much appreciated.
Also, any other tips for riding in the country would be great!!
Many thanks.

Hi, we just did one month Cambodia, no guide, I was the mechanic for my bike.
There are no such things as "GPS tracks" there. Just one simple reason, they change constantly, for sure after the rain season the routes are all outdated. The guide will know that, thats why it is sometimes good to have them. For the mine fields as well...
There is even not a very good GPS map for Cambodia, the openStreetmap works, the Garmin one doesnt and as well the Rottweiler is not very good. Paper Maps are the best thing to get, and then use the compass. Try to get the German Map "Reise KnowHow Cambodia" thats the best one if have seen till now.
good luck...

We travelled with Dancing Roads in Cambodja and LOVED it! We used a guide (Peang Ton) to explore the jungles. We were glade we had a guide. Every evening we discussed the trip for the next day and all our wishes were met.

This is the map you need! It is really good! I used it for my 5-week motorbike trip through remote Cambodia early this year. I didn't have a guide, just some maps and my gps.

For the south east asia area you should have a look here:

They provide the best maps who are available, and much more. Also a very nice community!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
