Floods in Eastern Europe?
Starting off from Finland on 23rd or 24th May, destination unknown, but somewhere in Greece, eastern coast of the Adriatic, or South Italy might be good bets (or possibly all of them, we´ve got 4 weeks)....
But what about the flooding situation in southern Poland and the region? Just saw some news, and it looked quite bad, probably some roads cut off, etc.?
Was planning to start off from Tallinn, then go south to Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, then possibly Hungary, but may have to think this over... There are direct ferry options from Helsinki to Gdynia, Rostock, Travemunde, and naturally Stockholm. If we´ll re-route ourselves, it´ll probably be via Rostock or Travemunde.
Checked the forecasts on the net, and they say there´s likely to be some more rain in Krakow, for example, but hard to tell, if it´ll be enough to cause more flooding.
Any eyewitness info from the flooded areas, and predictions if this is likely to get better or worse in the coming days, would be warmly welcomed!
