Tarija Crazy Roads
hey mate it depends what you want, i've done the way from iguazu to potosi by tarija 2 months ago, first you cross the whole chaco in paraguay, 700km of absolutly same vegetation, good roads, almost no villages, after that we decided to leave ruta 9 and take left 100km before the border because the roads where very bad and went to a place called villamontes, that's exactly the botton of "cordillera".
From villamontes to tarija, around 250 km, took us 11 hours, going up all the way on gravel roads and amazing views, death road in bolivia is joke compared with this road, if you want some serious off road go on this road.
when you leave tarija to potosi or sucre, the roads get "less worst" but the big problem of this area is that they're useless, not helpfull and nothing works, from restaurants to petro stations, everything is very cheap but the gasoline is a rubish, food and acomodation worst, if you need any help on the way I hope you have a good mate traveling with you.
I live in Iguazu, give a shall when you arrive here
safe journey
