Hi mate
looking yesterday seems to be conflicting evidence, for bikes def yes because they are small and light. Trucks, unsure not just because of the ferry size, but also disembarking the other side e.g steepness of banks etc!! I have heard some shit stories of army assitance needed and it costing an arm an a leg. As usual would like to chat with some one thats atually done it,. You no the old saying
"only listen to those who have, not those who have'nt"
and theres lots of have nots on the net. Woulds wecolme any help offered. But imagine your busy planning your own trip, I have time so will find solution love to Caf Markxx

Hi
I took my bike over PK-CN this summer so I can't help you directly.
I can say the landslide lake is still there. There's a lot of water behind that landslide and it would be a major news story if it had gone away.
You can see over the next few pics the size of the boats in regular use. I had read that there was a flat bed ferry on the lake but I didn't see it (which proves nothing either way). You can see from the pictures the steepness of the slide (on both sides) -- 4WD and unladen bikes only.
I doubt your 4.5 tonne truck will find a boat but a FR family did take their VM camper over the lake. They had to drive it from the "jetty" onto planks across the gunwales.
Cheers,
Ian

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
