Kosovo/Albania or Ukraine

Hi guys,
Due to circumstances I'm having only 2 weeks of holiday next weeks.
I'm living in Belgium and my bike is ready to go. But, I can't decide which way to go. Or Ukraine (Russia is too far) or Albania/Kosovo.
Is Ukraine some fun driving ? or is it just making (boring) miles to get to some nice city's (Kiev, Odessa, (overcrowded) Chrimea,..)

I've heard Ukraine is good around the Black Sea. I enjoyed Albania and Kosovo especially last year but was only there two days.

Albania has some of the most challenging roads and is a great place to visit and nothern Greece has some brilliant roads in the mountains , that would be my choice for a few weeks, catch one of the many ferries from Italy and enjoy (some of the roads in Albania are not suitable for a road machine, just bricks and rubble and if your lucky fairly smooth gravel. The main coast is fairly good and the roads to the border are reasonable).
We took the old road from Permit to Berat just some 75 k and that took us around 7.5 hrs. Pelmit to Kelcyre is good and leads you to the coast road sh4 , but we went on the sh74 it was hard work but worth it .

I spent a couple of worthwhile days poking around the Carpathian Mountains on the Ukraine side of the border, but the rest of what I saw tended to run flat and straight....with lots of speed traps, not a good combination.

Albania and Kosovo (and bordering countries) are interesting, mountainous, historical, friendly, scenic and cheap-ish. As mentioned above, road surfaces in Albania and Kosovo tend to be fairly rudimentary if that's a consideration. I'd take two weeks there on any pretext.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
