Motorcycle tour planning through the Alps

I would like to plan a 3 or 4 day bike tour through the alps and the passes, but I don't know where to go to find a planner or planning aid. Can anyone out there give me a hand? Thanks

A good "bible" is a book by an American, John Hermann, who has spent over twenty years riding and detailing over 270 passes
The book is "Motorcycle Journeys through the Alps and Corsica"
It has a list in decending height order at the back, and over the last two summers I managed to "bag" 25 so far
The Grossglockner in June 2004 was 28c at the base and -1c and snowing at the summit. The De-Stelvio was closed du to avalanche damage, so I had to go back in 2005, when it was 34c in July, but a nice cool 24c at the top :-)
I can recommend a good hotel near Bolzano, the owner is a keen motorcyclyst, and he took a group of 10 of us on fantastic roads that you would never find without local knowledge he has also produced a roadbook with 27 tours in the Dolomites. The food is also excellent

In German only, but considered the Alpine Road Bible since 1952.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
