I, Justin of the CD200T fame, and Arnout from Rotterdamn will begin a journey August 15th that should see us, in 3 weeks, to the Iranian border.
We have some markers along the way, but very little in the middle. Everytime i see someting on the history channel, it's someting in Europe (and I live in wasteland called Canada)- but now I can't seem to remember them, or where they are.
Following the marker route below, could you suggest a stop of interest, and WHY we should stop there. We are both keen on architecture and ancient, medieval and third reich history. And chicks and

Ther adriatic coast is a bit sparce I feel, as is the chunk between Budapest and the adriatic Give us some stuff to see!!
We enter greece near Macedon border. Go south along the adriatic and then across to Athens- The only things i can think of from schools daze was Mt Olympus, marathon. Com on, it's the cradle of democracy and building...and nothing comes to mid.
We are both set on Istanbul and crossing the bridge into Asia.
After that, turkey is more sort of an experience than stops...Ideas?
I'm so afraid i will get back and regret not seeing sight/site X.
It's sort of hard planning with only 1/2 a brain left.
Arnout intends to continue to the far east.
