I rode down through Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro to the Albania and Kosovo borders, and returned same way to UK. It was a superb trip.
If you go that way download "Adriaroute 2.10" for the GPS. It gives superbly detailed roads in Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, right down to rough tracks. It is compatible with Garmin Mapsource and much more detailed than Mapsource.
I didn't go over into Albania because of insurance. I also had to purchase insurance for Montenegro at the border post south of Dubrovnic which was quick and efficient.
The Montenegro locals strongly advised me not to go into Kosovo. They also said that I would have to be very careful if I went into Albania, not for my personal safety but for not getting my bike stolen since I was alone.
Try and spend some time in Montenegro and get up into the mountains in the north and over towards the Kosovo border. Really nice country and people.

Hi Martin,

There appears to be a problem with your Sakar Hills Camping web site.

I simply cannot locate the Contact button on your index. It's like it's spring loaded and will not appear on the screen. Hence I do not have your email address and I cannot therefore contact you with my enquiry for accommodation for a planned trip next year.

Kind regards
Dave Milligan

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
