Thailand to United Kingdom - Spring 2018 anyone??
Hello all!!
I'm researching a trip from Thailand to UK around March 2018, looking to travel on a Honda CB500x (a cheap bike when bought in Thailand), and taking the Burma>India>Pakistan>Iran>Turkey>Europe route.
I'm flexible on basically anything in regards to the trip. I'm looking for interested companions, advice and most importantly - any deal breaking pieces of information that would stop the trip from happening.
Anyone who's interested in all or part of the trip on a similar time in 2018 - please let me know and we can compare notes.
Many thanks in advance!

Can you get a Carnet for a thai plated bike? You will need a Carnet to get into India, Pakistan and Iran afaik.

"A Tourist can temporarily import a vehicle against Carnet-de-passage or a Bank Guarantee for a period of 3-months." please re check at Temporary Import of Vehicles
and for Iran please go to Carnet at Iranian border - Overland To Iran
Hope these stuff help.
I plan to go to France via the same route as you mentioned. March 2018 as well. Keep in touch...Kenneth

In 2014 I made a trip to India, Nepal and Thailand. But we had to fly our bikes from Nepal to Thailand because travelling through Burma (Myanmar) was very difficult. The country has too many restrictions to get a temporary import permit and foreigners were forbidden to ride motorcycles in some places.
I don´t know if it has changed and now they are more flexible but, to be sure, check that before you travel there.
Also, I would really recommend to buy the Adventure kit suspension from Rally Raid for the CB500X. Your motorcycle will certainly appreciate the difference... your suspension will suffer with extra load in that route you are planning.
Safe trip!
