Nothing first hand but I have read good reviews about such services on trip reports and the like.
It is expensive at first sight but measured against the time/distance/convenience "graph" perhaps not so bad.
I also understand that they get busy and booked up quickly; unlike ferries, carriages can be disconnected easily and reallocated to other work quickly or simply used to carry traffic other than bikes.
The Germans and Dutch have the most services IIRC + the French.
Try the "man in seat 61" for the schedules.
