Hi!
I ve done Poland-Cape Town in 2005 and Poland-Magadan in 2007.
I took the east route to Cape so a bit different then yours. On the east there is not too much offroad - only Sudan, Ethiopia and northern Mozambik.
I would recommend you to go to Vlad or Magadan through the Caucasus, Central Asia, Mongolia. There was much more fun of riding there then in Africa.
So I would say that the MotoSiberia.com definitly won over MotoAfryka.com about the joy of riding motorcycle.
People, I love both people from Africa and old Soviet Union. In Africa they are so optimistic/happy. But in the old USSR they are like less afraid of you then people in Africa. So its easier to find very good friends in Russia, specially if you speak a bit russian and drink vodka
Food - this is a plus for Africa. Cenral Asia, Mongolia - mouton meat all the time.
In Africa loved the T-bone in Kenia, Uganda, injera in Ethiopia, good chicken evrywhere.
Beers better in Africa (specially ethiopian
s!), vodka better in Russia.
Africa was a bit more vacation style - many things to do apart riding like white water rafting, safari, bunji jumping, paradise places like Zanzibar or Ilha de Mozambik. Trip to Magadan - much more time spend on riding. Africa - good weather, almost 4 months of sunchine. MotoSiberia - from +50 Celsius to -8 Celsius. Much more wild.
If I could ride for 12 months, I would go for 6 months to Siberia and 6 months to Africa
