Hello Folks,
some of you know us some of you don´t - what a surprise
We are back from our first part of the trip and working hard on the 2. lap – but this will take some more time. In between we got into the hamster wheel and have now three weeks (end of August and two weeks in September) to spend somewhere, called holiday or vacation. It´s a damn thing, where to go what to do – clueless…
We are sitting in the North of Germany, Hamburg. I got for my wife a Transalp to start practicing so she can ride the PanAm as a driver instead of sitting on the back.
So, the question is WHERE THE F….K we go? (Low budget, tent, cooker etc…)
1. Nordcup? 6000km in three weeks? Toooo much to ride and toooo much to see in this short time.
2. Train from Hamburg to Vienna, over the Alps to Venedig, Ferry to Patras, South to Pelepones (done that in 2010 (without train though) – super nice but we know Greece in and out (been living there for 10 years). So nothing new to discover, but very nice.
3. Going to Vienna with the train, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece and somewhere back again to Hamburg.
4. Sardinia, Corsica? Should have nice twisty roads, but very touristy and three weeks on an island?
5. Doing the Baltic Sea circle, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark?
6. Fly to Vietnam, rent bikes and see what comes up on the road. Timing, Rainy season, …
7. Go to Chiang Mai visit some friends rent a bike and do the Loop etc… Done that on our trip two years ago. So nothing new again.
8. Pack the bike and off we go without much planning?
9. Options… ?
Just worrying about our little luxury problem, when we been to Australia with our AT all the Aussis ask us what we are doing there, for them Europe is quite exiting, and now we are sitting here and don´t know where to go…
Any idea of a good trip? (I know it´s different for everybody, but maaaaayybe you have an awesome route, place to see off the beaten tracks in your mind and like to share it with us?)
Thank you for your valuable input, thoughts or whatever comes to your mind…
(PS.: Bike´s and Gear is set, better should be after two years on the road)
Cheers Mates
