Ural Parts in Cambodia or Thailand?
I live in Dalat, Vietnam and am looking for a few parts for my mid-70's Ural M67-36, including up to 4-19" rims to which I will add my current hub and spokes. I would love to switch to black rims if I can find them. Worst case, I need to replace at least 2 of my current chrome rims.
I've heard there are a couple shops in Cambodia (PP?) that would have what I need.
I'm thinking there may also be places in Thailand or Singapore or (long shot) Lao.
I'm ready to head to wherever I can find them--although there are quite a few Urals here in Vietnam, parts, including wheels, are as common as the new Africa Twin.
Can anyone please help me out with leads?
Thank you!

Try Hanoi Tour Company
Two motorcycle tour companies based in Hanoi use these '70's era Urals. They bought up a goodly number (maybe 50-100) to make a much smaller fleet of rentals for their tours You might be able to talk them into selling a few wheels if they have them in the unused parts bin. Doubt they would be cheap, but would be original.
I seldom see any of these '70s Urals in Thailand. The few I saw in Cambodia in the last 14-15 years were brought in from other (Vietnam) countries.
Good luck with your hunt.

Thanks, Dr. G! I sent a message to Cuong of Cuong's Motorbike Tours about 5 minutes before I saw your reply. I don't know the other Ural tour company, but I will do some more research.

Ural parts - Hanoi
Cuong is a pretty fun guy. In the photo below he is the good looking fellow. He was "advising me" as a consultant that day about a year ago on a possible 2nd edition of my first motorcycle book (15 book titles ago :-) ), MOTORCYCLE SEX.
I've sent you a PM about a possible second source in Hanoi.
Good hunting!

Now that I see your photo, were you at the Chiang Mai HUBB meeting in 2015? If so, I think we met there. Thanks for all the help!

Ural parts - wheels
Yes, I was at 2015 HU Mini-Meeting at Rider's Corner, kind of in the back ground. Missed 2016 (was headed to the bottom of South America) and 2017 (was on Southern Africa rally/tour, the "Soft Butt Adventure Ride).
In 2011, I has some fun with the 70's era Urals in Vietnam. Here's a link:
http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/2011/08/article/dr-frazier-ho-chi-minh-jungle-expedition/
One year (2005 or 2006?) I arrived in Da Lat on a rented Minsk from Hanoi the day the local motorcycle groups were doing a group ride around the lake. Great fun (I rode in the far back). The only Goldwing in Vietnam at the time was there, quite a crowd gathering to listen to the radio!
Alas, all things change. Last Vietnam trip I saw many "big bikes," including a Valkerye and KTM, plus a few H-Ds. I used a "frankenstein" Minsk on that tour to do something a little different (Minsk, painted and badged "Kawasaki"), with a Wyn engine/tranny. Also great fun...see pic. Passed through Da Lat that trip, only stopping for a "burger" at a new place on the corner in the center of town.
Of the 5-6 different motorbikes I used over there, the Ural was the biggest (650 cc), and the loudest, with the worst brakes and most clunky tanny, but a most memorable trip.
Hope you can chase down your wheels at a reasonable cost.
