Wanted: Place to leave bikes in Cambodia
Hi guys,
My partner and I are Kiwis and have been riding two Honda Postie bikes from KL through SEA, currently we are in Bangkok. For the next leg of our journey we'd like to go to Cambodia then into Vietnam and Laos then back to Cambodia.
Due to the Vietnam bike restrictions we'd like to leave our 2 postie bikes in Cambodia and buy a couple of Vietnamese plated bikes for the next leg.
We're looking for a friendly person/reputable business who might be able to store our bikes for up to 2 months, from early February until mid to late March.
Anybody know anyone in the area? We'd be flexible on the location in Cambodia.
Many thanks,
Tig and Celia

Hi you both,
go to KKO - Workshop ( www.kko-cambodia.org) in street 20 and ask for Dierk. He is a German who lives there for a long time and can help you !

Thanks Heinz,
We've actually just struck up a deal with our hotel owner. We can leave bikes and gear securely for $1 a day which we're happy with. Thanks for the offer.

I contacted a mate that lives in Phnom Penh. He uses a local garage/parking facility and pays $20USD a month and had no issues. Other than finding the bike each morning. Said you'll be doing well after 2 months. As the bikes are constantly shuffled to let others out.
All the best with the trip and temporary home for motos

Thanks guys, we ended up leaving our bikes and a bunch of gear at Homeland Guesthouse. They are great folks, everything is locked up inside and we agreed on $1 per day.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
