Off for a little jaunt round Europe in September, Does anyone know of any bike friendly accommmodation in central Barcelona? Cheap is good, but secure bike parking is the main issue.
cheers!

I stayed in this hostel about 3 years ago.
It's very nice and cheap.
It gets very busy so book ahead if you can. In the 3 nights that I stayed there people were sleeping on the grass outside the hostel waiting for a bed to come free. I'd booked ahead so was OK.
As far as bike secure parking. There is a car park but as far as I can remember it wasn't gated/secured at night. I wasn't really bothered about this too much as the hostel is located in a quiet residential area outside of the city centre. I was on my bike and had no problems.

Biker Friendly Accommodation Database
Hi All,
I'm thinking about building a database of "Biker Friendly Accommodation" by country/town with waypoints, etc.
Firstly, if built, would it be useful and secondly would anybody be interested in contributing?
I only really want to create entries for those places that have been recommend, rather than just a general database of hotels/b&b/etc.
Anyone interested?

a google map could be created, for city/country, and run/managed by the HU community?
that has the advantage of being print-able too.
eg: Google Maps

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
