Switzerland, Zurich Airport - bike friendly hotel
I recommend the Welcome Inn Hotel in Kloten, Switzerland. Kloten is the village that Zurich International Airport is located in. You can easily walk to shopping in the village center - less than 5 minutes away. There is also an excellent swimming pool and sports facility operated by the village about 10 minutes away, and the hotel will give you free entry tickets for the 'larger than Olympic size' swimming pool.
The hotel is 'bike friendly' - secure free bike parking is available in the hotel's underground garage (not that you need to worry about secure parking in Switzerland, but at least it keeps the bike dry and you don't have to carry the helmets up to the room), and the hotel has small carts you can use to bring stuff from your saddlebags up to your room.
The hotel offers a free bus service every half-hour or so to the Airport, and from the airport you can take a commuter train downtown (they leave about every 10 to 15 minutes). This saves you the trouble of riding the bike downtown.
It's a 3 and 1/2 star hotel, but quite informal - you won't feel out of place if you walk in wearing your riding gear. The rates are reasonable (for Switzerland), the hotel is clean, and the people are friendly. I've been staying there for about 25 years now and highly recommend it.
