Turkey, Bergama and Fethiye
Hi there!
We are in Turkey now on our Amsterdam-Tasmania trip and would like to share some adresses where we had a wonderful time.
First is Athena Pension in Bergama (Pergamon), not far from Izmir
It's a pension from a Turkish guy named Aydin who's had major plans with the place. The pension is situated in an old Ottoman house. He rents this place which is also at a really nice location, the beginning of the mainstreet close to the Basilique ruins and the way up to the amphitheater.
He owns the place next door where you can park the bike save inside and where he made more luxury familyrooms. He has plans for a bike-camping in the garden with your own hammam and is a really friendly guy who speaks English very well.
We payed 30 Lira for a double room which was really cosy and there's a quiet patio and a kitchen you can use.
The town is really worth seeing for a day and very less touristic then Selcuk with comparable sites to visit.

Next one is the Sugar Beach Club which is situated in the Blue Lagoon close to Fethiye. If your looking for the real holiday feeling, swimming in Turqoise waters surrounded by beautiful mountainranges, this is the place to be.
We camped here for 20 Lira/ 2 persons and tent. You can do an aweful lot of daytrips and sightseeing here.
Very relaxing
ok that's it for now,
