Chiang Mai Rider's Corner Still A HU Touch Point
Colleagues reporting from North and Northeast Thailand say Rider’s Corner is still able to rent and process the necessary paperwork for the rental of a 250 cc motorbike or larger to exit Thailand and enter Laos at one of the few remaining borders for exit/entry. The Visa On Arrival entry points to Laos rules have added some additional twists to renting a motorbike in Thailand as a tourist to enter Laos.
Image 1 shows some of their rental motorbikes as of October, 2019, ready for the “high season.”
Affable proprietor Ian Gatenby, (left in Image 2) remains a reliable information source for Golden Triangle adventure riding if you can catch him in the restaurant when he is not out researching roads and border crossings to Laos and Myanmar. Noted were the continued upgrading of appointments in the restaurant like the massive tables, chairs and maintenance of the company rental fleet.
