Costa Rica, All or Multiple City Thread
Arenal
There is a great place in Arenal at Lago Arenal. German Panaderia. Camping (for free) nearby, U can ask for staying in their cabin. Its at the main road going thru from Tilaran to La Fortuna. U cant miss is. German breakfast and dinner, german bread and german . A piece of paradise. Owner Tom and Ellen have been welcoming for generations of bike travelers.

5 Dollar for room pP or tenting in great garden with view of Volcano. safe parking
San Jose, Costa Rica Backpacker. not cheap, but nice and safe parking. 8 Dollar in dorm pP. location can be found in LP Central America on a shoestring.
Orosi, Orosi Valley, Montana Linda.
Camping 3 Dollar pP. Dorms about 7 Dollar.
parking is right beside the office. Its a small village so should be ok safe. Nothing happened to us.
5 km south of Uvita is Finca Bavaria. 15 Dollar pP. Camping possible if u sak friendly for about 5 DOllars. Very nice, safe parking.
a second Bavarian place is going to open 10 km further south for camping and cheaper cabanas.

NOTE: this property do not have a fence or barrier around. so when i saw the bike parking place, I would be parking next to their open office desk with their computer there. in the night there is a guy guarding the computer and my bike. if any bad people wants to steal something from this place, they would rather steal the computer than anything on my bike.

Costa Rica - Liberia & Arenal

Cabinas Canfinera (behind the only gas station) on the road to La Fortuna on right side; it is a 2 storey building with 3 rooms on each floor. Nice view of lake from 2nd storey. Tel: 506-2694-4726; correo.cabinascanfinera@yahoo.com. 10,000 colones (~US$ 18) for 2 people, private bathroom with hot water, fan and cable TV, safe parking between the cabinas & owner´s house.
Liberia:
Hotel Wilson Liberia, Tel: 2666-4222, Cell: 8391-3504, hotel_wilson@yahoo.com. 16,000 Colones (~ US$ 30) for 2 people, 1 cama matrimonial, AC, Cable TV, Private bathroom with hot water, secure parking. When you enter the town, the road will eventually become one way. You will pass the parque on your left side, go straight for 3 or 4 blocks, before you turn right onto the road where the hotel is located. There is a huge sign with an arrow, you cannot miss it.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
