Hey George,
Commendable attempt at planning. We all know though that the only semi- reliable details regarding your trip is the estimated time (> 1 year) and the continent (South America). After that, countries, direction, cities, etc. are all subject to change based on the availability of cold  for you to drink and pretty women to fall in love with. We''ll give you five years and if you haven't made it out of Colombia by then we'll send a search party.
Hope all is well in the Channel Islands and that working isn't eating too much into your trip planning time  Weren't you supposed to show up around these parts sometime this year?
