Accomodation with parking in Buenos Aires?
Hi All,
I'm trying to find some cheap accomodation (Hostel etc) in Buenos Aires for new year and up to the start of the Dakar. Can anyone reccommend anywhere?
Thanks
Adam

Two of the best
If you want cheap and cheerful, basic bunk house, I recommend you visit Javier and Sandra at Dakar Moto:
dakar_motos_index
They can store your bike and point you towards a hotel if a bunk house is a bit basic or you can just drop in and say hello, as there are always bikers in and out.
Lots of people drop in here, they store bikes, have a full workshop setup and are the nicest people.
Also, make you drop in to Azul to see "Pollo" (This is his nick name) at the legendary biker friendly "La Posta":
La Posta Del Viajero En Moto...welcome friends - index
Iain.
You could have no finer start.

To Spangler
Javier and Sandra are really good people and have a great place....
We also offer parking, short and long term, and have a small room adjacent to our parking, now available with private entrance, wi-fi, kitchen and private bath.
Jeff, guide for GlobeBusters, has the room now, but it will be available on 19 December, this Friday. day after tomorrow.
Good Luck xfiltrate

Agree 100% its our HU bunker here in BA.With 75 centavos(0,20 us)take the near train to BA city!
In BA you will find places all the way.Cheap and expensive.Friendly and unfriendly.Due to the Dakar start many will be complete.Do your search now.
CU at Dakarmotos.....

I think you should rent at Grant´s great place an comercial AD spot for your professional page instead of doing that kind of advertising. If a traveller recomends Javier and Sandras place(both are great friends of me also) it looks a bit unpolite to recomend yourself to thirds......after nameing them.
Of course this is my humble opinion.
And of course you have the most discrete choice of sending Spangler a PM.

Hotel recommendations
If Javier and Sandra are too full or you want other accomodations, here's another choice down the street where I stayed http://bogriffinrides.com/images/37daypic5.JPG
Their website: HOTEL MUNRO

Thanks Karl
Karl, Your suggestions are always welcome. I believe buying or trading links with Grant is a very good idea.
Getting the right promotion is very important to a new business. Thanks for thinking of us.
I have met both Javier and Sandra, I know much of their contributions to Hubbers, I stand by my statement that they are good people and I have ridden past their place and it looks great. And, I believe I have the right to share that opinion when and where I want.
Since we are both in Buenos Aires, Let's get together to discuss other promotional ideas. I'm open. xfiltrate

I would buy an exclusive AD place
Ed
No need for meeting for this simple stuff.Just contact Grant and buy a nice exclusive AD place. This way you also give something back to him and this nice forum(the best in this themes).
I still believe that your comment in response to Dakarmotos proposal as an good place, was not done in an polite way.Of course you have the freedom of doing what ever you like, but offering yourself that way looks desperate.
Again my humble opinion, call this a friendly tip.
Karl
