Andes Trip Around Mendoza - Pics
Well, the wife and I have recently returned from another spectacular motorcycle trip in the Andes Mountains of Argentina. We rode about 2500 miles in 11 days and traveled what is no doubt, some of the best dirt roads in the world, if you are on a motorcycle.
This is the region surrounding Mendoza, the world-famous wine country that is several hundred miles north of our last trip around Bariloche. This area is not as serene and bucolic as the area south, but it easily makes up for it in its severity. While Bariloche was densly populated with lakes and forests, this land is high mountain desert and all but treeless.
Here is the link to the pictures. Captions have been written for all but a few of the photos (some didn't need one) and if you use the slide show, click on the first picture and I believe the captions will be shown with each photo. If you use the thumbnails, I believe the captions will automatically pop up.
