Anyone going: Copper Canyon, Mexico, Oct 31 - November 2 20

Looks like a great chance for newcomers to explore a little bit of Mexico without a huge investment of time or money.

Anyone else planning to go?! Want to meet in Nogalas Arizona?

Cheers,
Gerry

Minimal details so far - there are a couple of great guys from the area working on setting it up - apparently we have cooperation from the local officials, and we are planning on lots of events and interesting stuff happening besides the usual slide show and a ride. Should be a great event!

You DO want to be there!

As soon as we have some stuff locked down we will be announcing it. Thanks for your patience.

Forgot to mention that I have a buddy supposedly coming on a GS Adventurer and when I spoke to Al Jesse, he was very interested in attending also. Pretty good company.

For those passing through Phoenix, the welcome mat is out. I can accomdate a few folks and I'm sure we can help out others with friends.

Cheers,
Gerry

I want to leave now, but the trip would be kind of cold down through canada. I could do a small slide show on Alaska in some little town like Batopilas. It sounds like a great time to me. Arizona would be my point of entry, and I dont know many people in AZ. If its for sure, I'll be there. If its not for sure, I might be there anyway!!!

Hi,

We live in Tucson and would like to go to the canyon too, are all invited? I have a new MZ, Baghira 660 and I am setting it up for travel now. Are passports needed? What other costs might come up? Camping out or in hotels? How many days?

Thanks,
Bill

PS: We just started a new MZ, Baghira group on yahoo if any one is interested just search yahoo groups for "MZ Baghira

ALL are invited, details moving forward as we speak - at the moment we have support form the government, three hotels have offered full support, there will be conducted tours of the area, cultural events to meet the local people, slide shows, international travellers, and lots more.

It's going to be a great event, and Susan and I will be there, so we look forward to meeting you all!

Keep checking the meetings page - link on left - for more details as we work them out.

Grant,
>>It's going to be a great event, and Susan and I will be there, so we look forward to meeting you all!<<

Are there any more details on this trip yet. With my retirement moved up to an earlier date I may try and make this event just to meet some the folks.

Have ridden in Mexico before on the motorcycle, but would still like to meet up with someone that is going and ride along.

Take care,

John

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
