There's a place we nicknamed 'moto alley' in Bogota. It is a couple of blocks of nothing but motorcycle shops. I'm sure you can find it there at a good price.
From the intersection of Av Jiminez de Quesada and Carrera 14, go east about two blocks. In other words, it is at Carrera 14 and Calle 15 or so.
My Garmin GPS gives the following coords:
N4 36.360 W74 04.674
Hope that helps. I'll be in Quito for the next month. If you are coming through, we should at least have lunch.
Cheers,
-ted (in Quito, EC)

I am sure you can get hold of one in Bogota, (make sure it is the right way round, although it will fit anyway). I bought one for 120,000 pesos, ($63), 2 weeks ago, here in Santa Marta. I am sure there was a hefty commission involved though. If you weren´t going the other way you could buy mine off me, because it´s the only thing that works at the moment!!
Suerte, vaya bien.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
